Page five

This one was more of a beat down. Had to do a lot of corrections on the farmer cause I suck at drawing. I wanted to put more objects in the background (bed, bookshelf, table, etc…), but I took too much time “inking” the farmer. I do like how the smoke and furnace came out. I think the shadowing sucks for the most part… It’s a learning experience…

Page four

Page four is up. This one only took me a few hours today. Did some cheating with copy pasting the tree. Repainted the whole thing and attempted some subtle cross hatching (didn’t come out great, but not bad by any means). I was rather pleased how the border glowish effect came out. I thought I was gonna butcher it.

Page Three is Up!

I think this is the first time I’ve tried to draw the same character from a different angle. All in all, I thought the profile shot came out decent. I think I botched the body dimensions a little. He looks taller to me on the third page… I might go back and try to fix that later. Hopefully I will learn some more tricks as I continue to redraw these guys.

Page Two

Page two of The Farmer and the Blacksmith is up. My goal is to try and crank out one page a week. I’m sure I won’t be able to keep up. Goal is to crank them all out as rough drafts. Once the story is done, I will probably go back and touch them all up a little more. We shall see. I’m still learning to paint in photoshop. I’m not that please with the coloring on the blacksmith…

The Farmer and the Blacksmith

Finally got a final draft of the first page for The Farmer and the Blacksmith done. I updated the Stories page just to get it up on the web. Everything about this project is still a work in progress, so a lot might change. I’ve got a rough draft of the story done. So at this point I just need to crank out the drawings.
